Java Software Engineer

We are in search of a Java Software Engineer to work on the Phileas open source project in addition to other code repositories. Because Phileas is an open source project, a significant portion of this work will be done in public and may require interacting with other open source developers and community members.

The primary desired skill is Java programming. Other useful skills include Python, cloud computing (AWS/GCP), and tools and technologies Docker, Terraform, Packer, and JUnit.

Non-technical skills should include a history of contributing to open source projects, good communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively.

NLP Engineer

We are in search of a Natural Language Processing (NLP) Engineer to work on the Phileas open source project in addition to other code repositories. Because Phileas is an open source project, a significant portion of this work will be done in public and may require interacting with other open source developers and community members.

The primary desired skill is experience building applications using NLP frameworks and techniques. Desired NLP framework experience includes Apache OpenNLP and Flair.

Non-technical skills should include a history of contributing to open source projects, good communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively.
